Anyone can be an artist - an intuitive painting workshop. Theme: atmospheric clouds

If you always wanted to learn some painting techniques and create an intuitive piece of artwork, but didn’t know where to start, this in-person workshop is for you!

I have spent many years learning fine art, discovering tools and techniques, as well as developing my own methods to incorporate into my abstract/landscape/seascape/skyscape paintings. You’ll learn the solid foundations of secret artistic skills which are the building blocks to allow your natural creativity to flow!

Build layers with acrylics and a selection of painting techniques. See your original art evolve! These skills can be incorporated into any style of art - abstract, figurative, still life, and landscape. The techniques I teach you can also be used when painting with oils. We use acrylics during the workshop as they dry faster.

In this workshop you’ll learn:

* To create with paint washes

* Painting effects with various tools, like pallette knives, brushes, sponges and more

* Colours - warms and cools

* How to build layers

* How to change the direction of your painting

You’ll be creating your own intuitive painting from building layers using these effects. Even if you have never painted before, you will be able to create your own artwork applying these simple and easy to use techniques.

Who is this workshop for: beginners and intermediates who wish to add to their skillset and have fun!

All art materials, including canvas and paint, will be supplied.

Workshop length: 3 hours

Location: artist's home. Door's open and kettle goes on at 10:30 so we can get to know each other a bit before the workshop.

Some snacks and refreshments will be provided, but feel free to bring along your own.

Cost: £85 per person. Limited to 5 participants only!

Please wear clothes you don't mind getting paint on, or bring an apron with you 😊
